A2 Animatic

In planning our A2 production we had to make an animatic, to do this we drew a large copy of our storyboard and individually photographed each frame before editing them in the desired sequence in Adobe Premiere. To convey the general theme of Drew Taylor being a country singer a song by Taylor Swift was dubbed over the animatic.

A2 Pitch

For the A2 project I will be working in a group with Lucy Lewis, Daniel Faint and Megan McMillan. Our production will be a 5 minute documentary called "Drew Taylor: Short Rise to Fame" based on the life of fictional country/pop music singer "Drew Taylor".

Our pitch to the class received some positive feedback but some concerns were raised about our idea to possibly use a green screen to create a short concert scene, which some felt would stand out in a bad way from the authenticity that we are planning to create. An alternative to this shot that we considered in response to the feedback was to use the hall as it has a stage and some equipment that would look authentic.

Knebworth Park Summer Music Video

In preparation for our A2 project we had to go to Knebworth Park in groups to film a music video for a "summer song" of our choice, My group was the same as I worked with in AS being myself, Daniel Faint and Amber Law. We all made suggestions but we settled on Amber's choice of "Move Your Feet" by Junior Senior. On the day of filming however Amber was ill so it was just Dan and I. When filming began the weather was looking bad and we decided to disregard any planning that had been made and we just made it up as we went along. In my opinion this actually worked out really well- especially the intro/outro of us running in/out of the mushrooms.

In the editing stage we put all of the lipsynching in place and then just threw any shots which we felt looked good between the bits, we then splashed some colour efects onto them such as tints and on the clip of me running backwards the footage was sped up and reversed to make it look like I was running backwards. All in all we were rather pleased with what we had edited together but for some unknown reason although it plays perfectly fine in premiere when rendered it simply doesn't export properly and thus this post is just a wall of text.
